About
Why Diarly exists.
We kept noticing the same gap. Journaling apps locked our writing in a vault. Newsletters and social platforms asked us to perform certainty in front of a feed. Neither felt like the place where the quiet, unsure, half-formed thoughts actually belonged.
The gap we're building into.
Day One is a beautiful vault — but it ends at your login. Substack is a great megaphone — but it assumes you have a name to use and an audience to chase. There's a quieter middle: writing that wants to be witnessed, not promoted. Anonymous, when it needs to be. Honest, always.
Diarly is for that middle. Private by default. One tap to share, one tap to mask, one tap to anonymize.
We're pre-launch — on purpose.
Right now, Diarly is free. You can sign up, claim a pen name, and start writing today. Paid creator subscriptions launch in Q3 2026. Until then, every edge is being smoothed in public, and we'd rather show the wiring than oversell it.
Pen names are first-come, first-served. We lock yours on signup so the early writers keep the handles they care about.
We read the diaries we ship.
Every one of us writes here. We're a small remote team — designers, engineers, two writers with day jobs — and we draft, fail, revise, and ship in the same app you do. If a feature feels wrong on a tired Tuesday morning, we hear about it before lunch.
That's the philosophy: build the thing we need, then make it good enough for everyone else.
Free during pre-launch. Paid creator subscriptions launching Q3 2026.
